Truly Local Produce Finds at Stauffers
At Stauffers, we strive to form strong, long-lasting relationships with as many truly local farmers as possible to provide us with fresh produce, hand-picked at the peak of flavor, and delivered the very same day. In fact, we’ve partnered with over 20 local family farms to bring you only the freshest fruits and veggies.
These bonds that we form, some spanning several decades, allow us to better enrich our surrounding community. We value our local growers and love to see Lancaster County thrive! Their hard work and dedication are unmatched, as they tend to their fields from sun up until sun down, all to perfect the delicious crops that make it to your dinner table.
Although we continue to make strides in expanding our selection of locally produced goods, we never lose sight of some of the most special connections that we have formed throughout the years, which continue to be among our strongest relationships.
Meet Local PA Farmers That Partner With Us:
Jesse Martin
A relationship that started over 18 years ago continues to be one of our favorites. Jesse Martin and his family have mastered how to grow the best sweet corn exclusively for Stauffers. They take great pride in their crop, selecting each ear by hand, picked only at the peak of flavor. Our Non-GMO Corn is grown right here in Pennsylvania. Whether you love eating fresh or you want to buy in bulk to freeze and enjoy later, now is the time. We’ve got you covered with both White & Bi-Color, so stop in today!
Shenk Family
Peaches from the Shenk Family are simply the best! For several decades, the Shenks have been growing peaches solely for Stauffers. We couldn’t be more thankful for such a long-standing relationship, considering it’s lasted over 3 generations now! Take your pick from White to Yellow varieties and enjoy the sweetest, juiciest peach you’ll ever eat.
Stoltzfus Family
Grown right in the heart of Lititz, Amos and his Family have a special partnership with Stauffers. Tomatoes are just one of the many items that they grow for us. With over 1,000 tomato plants, each tomato is vine-ripened and hand-selected for you to enjoy!
Leola Produce Auction
For over 30 years, Stauffers has attended the Leola Produce Auction. Our commitment to the auction helps support our local agriculture, positively impacting 100’s of local growers each summer. During the months of July and August, our buyer hand-selects the best watermelons and cantaloupes, grown right here in Lancaster County.
These farmers are our family, and we wake up everyday thankful that we partner with them to create a better Lancaster County.
Along with our family farmers, we also support nearby businesses, large and small, by stocking our shelves with their locally produced goods. All together, our Fresh Foods stores bring you products from more than 175 local farms and companies. You can find these goods on the shelves with ‘local’ signage callouts so that you can help us support them too!
From the juiciest peach, to the sweetest corn, our local farms and businesses fill our hearts with joy, our stores with locally produced goods, and our customers’ homes with a sense of support for the community.
